About Dr. Kyoko Leann Yoda

Dr. K. Leann Yoda is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist that treats infants, young children, adolescents, and children with special health care needs.  She is currently on staff with Children’s Hospital of Colorado. Dr. Yoda is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and Attending that teaches Pediatric Dental Residents in their Hospital’s Pediatric Dental Clinic.

Dr. Yoda has devoted time to researching the implications of poor dental hygiene and oral health for children. They constituted the focus of her master’s thesis, “Trends of Mortality in Children due to Poor Oral Health,” and the poster, “Mortality in Children due to Poor Oral Health,” which she presented at the California Society of Pediatric Dentists during her residency.

A Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1999. She went on to study at UAB’s School of Public Health and earned her MSPH in Epidemiology after receiving a National Institutes of Health Fellowship. Dr. Yoda earned a Master of Science (MSD) and a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Washington/Seattle Children’s Hospital after finishing her residency in Pediatric Dentistry.

She is married to United Pilot Captain David Bachler. They both enjoy skiing, hiking, and flying gliders in Colorado, where they live.
